GALWAY

Galway City is a lovely town that is not too large and not too small; however driving thru town is a nightmare due to the one-way-system (oxy-moron). The surrounds are lovely and the B&B we stayed at in the Salt Hill Area was wonderful. You can skirt the town on a sort of beltway around the town to the north and then to the east and southeast. The southwest quadrant is Galway Bay. Yes, we watched the sun go down on Galway bay.

The forward button moves on south through western Ireland on towards the Cliffs of Moher & Lahinch.

The right button takes you on a tour of the surrounding area called the Connemara. When you see it you will understand the phrase "go to hell or go to Connemara!" It does not seem hospitable, but residents love it. Must be the solitude and the survival.

The back button goes back.
