The castle was first started in c. 1080 by William the Conqueror and the most recent variation was made after the disastrous fire of 1992. Being one of the royal residences, Windsor houses incomparable works of art and historical artifacts. The tour was worth every penny. Diane especially appreciated Queen Mary's Doll's House.
